'Concerts at the Sanctuary' is a new seasonal concert series which brings some of London’s top professional musicians and ensembles to Ewell Village in an informal relaxed setting at St. Michael's Church accompanied with teas and freshly baked cakes on a Sunday afternoon. Our summer concert welcomes back the Denman Street Quartet after their sell out Armistice Centenary concert in 2018. The quartet is formed from some of London’s top professional clarinetists and this year they bring a programme of classical and Latin music. Bringing a new soundworld to Mendelssohn’s String Quartet no. 1 in Eb major arranged for four clarinets and Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango, just some of the exciting works featured in this concert. We recommend booking in advance and tickets are available through our TicketSource event page, however remaining tickets will be available at the door from 1:30pm on the concert day: Mozart, Overture from Marriage of Figaro | Vivaldi, Spring from the Four Seasons | Mendelssohn, String Quartet No.1 in Eb major, Op.12 | Albeniz, España, Op.165 | Piazzolla, Histoire du Tango. Performers: Katherine Spencer, Clarinet | Jonathan Parkin, Clarinet | Sarah Thurlow, Clarinet | Elliott DeVivo, Clarinet & Bass clarinet
