Chuter Ede Charity funding for residents attending university outside the borough

What is the scheme?

The Chuter Ede Charity Trust exists to offer financial assistance to university students living away from home, to help with the purchase of books or materials to help with their studies and with residing at university.

Can I apply?

To be eligible, you normally have to be a resident of the Borough of Epsom and Ewell, and attending and residing at a university outside of the borough.

The application form should be accompanied by proof of attendance at university, such as:

  • Offer of residential accommodation.

Only one application is allowed per person.  The award will be for a maximum of £250, but could be scaled back depending on the number of eligible applicants, and may be far smaller.  The council reserves the right to not make a payment.
