Every year many people volunteer to work with us. Volunteering can be a great way to gain experience, meet people and contribute to services which will make a real difference to the area and our community.
Volunteers can give unpaid help to a community, a charity, local clubs or voluntary organisations. Whatever your interests, wherever you live, whether you have a lot of time or a little - you will be giving your time to help charities and community groups improve lives.
This can mean anything from coaching a sports team, helping the elderly, supporting nature conservation or those with a disability to more formal roles such as being a school governor, a board member of a charity or non-executive directors.
