Handmade in Epsom and Ewell: Supporting Local Makers and CharitiesEpsom and Ewell, UK – Handmade in Epsom and Ewell (HiEE) is proud to announce its inaugural event The Festive Makers Fair on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Youth Hall at the Epsom Methodist Church (Ashley Road, KT18 5AQ), right in the heart of Epsom town centre. This exciting community event aims to provide an affordable platform for local artisans to showcase their handmade products while supporting a vital local community cause – on this occasion all proceeds from the event (apart from stallholder sales) will be donated to Epsom Foodbank.About Handmade in Epsom and EwellHiEE was founded by a group of passionate local makers whose goal is to create an affordable event for local creatives to sell their products and, in doing so, support a local charity. HiEE is committed to offering a space for makers based within the Epsom and Ewell borough to share their craft while also giving back to the community. We are especially keen to enable those new to the making scene to take a punt and sell their wares for the first time alongside some of Epsom and Ewell’s established makers and crafters.Event HighlightsThe inaugural event will feature a range of locally made products, including handmade gifts and Christmas decorations that are perfect for early holiday shopping. Attendees can look forward to exploring 22 stalls, with a mix of established traders and newcomers to the local market in a festive, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. On sale you will find a range of unique gifts ranging from soaps to ceramics to upcycled furniture, art, jewellery and uniquely crafted metal work all made here in Epsom and Ewell. While many of us will be fortunate enough to enjoy food and gifts this holiday season, there are many families in the area who will be relying on the foodbank's assistance. As part of the event, customers will be asked to make a minimum donation of £1 to enter, with all funds going to the foodbank. In addition, there will be a designated area for food donations, and we encourage attendees to bring non-perishable items for the foodbank's Christmas drive. The items which are particularly needed are listed on the Epsom and Ewell Food Bank donate food page: https://epsomewell.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/ About the OrganisersThe event is brought to you by a small team of dedicated volunteers: Imogen Curran, Janice Heyes, Jo Jones and Helen Worwood. Alongside them stands an army of talented local makers, all contributing to the success of Handmade in Epsom and Ewell.“We really hope that the Epsom and Ewell community will support this event which is taking place right in the heart of Epsom town centre. In doing so they’ll find unique handmade Christmas gifts made with great care and passion. The local economy benefits from people shopping locally who will also be giving something back via the Epsom Foodbank to those who are less fortunate than themselves. This really is an event run by the community for the community. We hope to see you there.” said organiser Janice Heyes. For more information please visit www.handmadeinepsomandewell.co.ukFacebook: @HandmadeinepsomandewellInstagram: @Handmadeinepsomandewell
