The Councillors and staff of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council are deeply saddened at the news of the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.

An online book of condolence is available for everyone to sign by visiting www.royal.uk
Please note, physical books of condolence are not advised due to COVID-19.

The Royal Family has asked that people consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, or one of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Patronages instead of leaving floral tributes.

On the eve of his funeral in Windsor, Guildford Cathedral will hold a Vigil in Commemoration of His Royal Highness on behalf of the county. The Mayor of Epsom & Ewell, Councillor Humphrey Reynolds, will attend on behalf of the borough. The service will be live-streamed on Friday 16 April at 5.30pm and all are invited to join the Dean and other Cathedral Clergy, with music from the Cathedral Choir, prayers and readings from the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey and the High Sheriff of Surrey, and a homily by The Right Reverend Jo Wells, Bishop of Dorking - Join online in real-time via https://youtu.be/Nv-KDHYz-7Q
