'50 LGBTQI+ who changed the world' is a unique exhibition created by French creative, Florent Manelli.

The exhibition pays tribute in 50 portraits to the activists, personalities, writers, and artists who have advanced the LGBTQI+ movement and celebrates those who have fought to create a more inclusive and tolerant world.

Explaining why he started the project, Manelli says “It’s not just about individual stories…it’s about how we can respect everyone in this society.”

Delivery of this exhibition is part of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council’s emerging Cultural Strategy which champions the need for ‘inclusivity and access for all’ within our borough’s creative and cultural outputs.

Free to enjoy and with no pre-booking required, the exhibition is open Monday - Saturday at Bourne Hall, Ewell from 8 – 22 September.

Speaking of the exhibition, Councillor Clive Woodbridge, Chair of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council’s Community and Wellbeing Committee, said, “This exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase LGBTQI+ artwork, culture and history to a wider audience, and to celebrate the diverse community we live in.”
