Activities and programmes to support the health and wellbeing of our community

Our Health and Wellbeing Strategy aims to support all of our community. The opportunities below help children and young people lead healthy, active and fulfilling lives by improving physical health, emotional wellbeing, resilience and social connections.

The opportunities below are available to children and young people living in the borough. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Access to Activity bursaries are available until all funds have been allocated.

Community Football (Ages 10 to 16)

Available until 31 March 2027

A free programme for boys and girls aged 10 to 16, combining football coaching with lifestyle mentoring. Sessions take place at Court Recreation Ground on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, with monthly lifestyle mentoring sessions available for participants.

Access to Activity Bursary (Ages 12 to 15)

Available until 31 December 2026

Eligible young people can receive up to £200 to help fund, or partly fund, sports club memberships, sports subscriptions or match fees for a range of sports including basketball, cricket, dance, judo, football and many more.  --- All booked through participating sports clubs.

Epsom & Ewell Young Legends (Ages 9 to 11)

Bookings open from 17 September 2026
Programme runs from 2 November to 13 December 2026

A free programme of sports and creative activities designed to help children build confidence, develop new skills and prepare for the transition to secondary school. Experienced and trusted coaches and practitioners will deliver a schedule of activities including Arts & Crafts (for SEN), Coding, Girls Rugby, Judo, Musical Theatre, Scrapbooking, Sing & Sign Choir (tennis/basketball)???- final list and schedule will be confirmed shortly.

A celebration event will take place on 14 December 2026 at Bourne Hall.
