fascinating stories from its 10,000 years of history

From its beginnings in the Stone Age and its Bronze Age Sacred

Lake, through the Roman invaders with their road and oracle

shafts, to the Saxon settlers who gave the place its name, ending in its gun power mills, vanished church, lock up, coach crash and battle. Walks begin at Bourne Hall
