Borough Council Elections will be held for all 38 Council seats on 2 May 2019.

Register to Vote
To vote at these elections you must be registered to vote. The deadline to register to vote at this election has now passed (it was 12 April 2019). If you want to check if you are registered then you can contact us by e-mail at email@example.com, or phone on 01372 732000.
If you are already registered then you will receive a poll card giving information about polling hours and the address of your polling station soon after 27 March 2019. If you registered to vote after 8 March 2019 then your poll card will be sent out around 25 April 2019.
Can’t vote in person?
If you are not able to vote in person on 2 May 2019 you can either have a postal vote or appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf.
The deadline for postal vote applications has now passed and was 5pm on Monday, 15 April 2019.
The deadline to appoint a proxy is by no later than 5pm, Wednesday, 24 April 2019.
Postal votes will be sent out by 1st class post around 17 April and we expect them to arrive by 22 April. If you are going on holiday before or close to that date, you may prefer to appoint a proxy.
If after 5pm on 24 April you become unwell, or for work reasons cannot vote in person, the deadline to appoint an emergency proxy is 5pm, Thursday, 2 May. Contact the elections office on 01372 732000 for more information on how to arrange one.
