From time to time we need to change the refuse and recycling collection day for some households. This helps us to take account of developments in the borough, and keep our collection routes balanced.
On this occasion, changing some collection days now will also help us to prepare for the launch of Simply Weekly Recycling next spring.
Is my collection day changing?
Only certain roads (or, on some larger roads, part-roads) are changing. Click on the document below to check whether your collection day is changing.
When will it happen?
If you're affected, your new collection day will start week commencing 7 November 2016. Click on the document below to check whether your collection day is changing.
How will the Council let me know if my collection day is changing?
If your collection day is changing and you live in a house, we will hand-deliver a letter to you the week before. It will tell you what your new collection day will be, with effect from week commencing 7 November. Then, just start using your new collection day.
If your collection day is changing and you live in a flat (and so don't have to put your bins out) we will simply put a sticker on your bin lids telling you what the new collection day will be. There's nothing more you have to do.
Of course, if your collection day isn't changing, then you'll hear nothing from us. Simply carry on using your normal collection day.

Any new collection days will also be updated on our Where I live page effective week commencing 7 November.
