Surrey's Minerals and Waste Plans

Surrey County Council adopted the current Surrey Minerals Plan in November 1993 and the Surrey Waste Plan in 1997.  It is the strategic minerals document for the County.  The new Minerals Development Framework, which will replace the current Minerals Plan, is currently being drafted and consulted upon.

Saving Local Plan Policies

Following the commencement of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, all of the Epsom and Ewell Local Plan policies were saved for 3 years.  To extend relevant policies beyond 27 September 2007, the Council will seek the Secretary of State’s agreement to issue a direction to save them.

The Council has undertaken a comprehensive review exercise and the document Saving Local Plan Policies has now been submitted to the Secretary of State.
