Your kerbside recycling services allow you to recycle 50-60% of your household waste. We collect the remaining waste fortnightly. What if I don't have access to food waste recycling?
|
Your green rubbish bin is for household waste that cannot be recycled through any of our recycling services.
Please remember that anything you put in your rubbish bin will be sent to landfill.
Ensure that you close the lid of your rubbish bin. We will only collect rubbish that is securely contained within your bin with the lid closed. Excess rubbish left in bags by your bin will not be collected. |
Leave your rubbish out for collection in a clearly visible place at the edge of your property by 6:30am on your normal collection day. Request a collection calendar.

Children’s disposable nappies
You can put children’s disposable nappies in your fortnightly rubbish bin if you wish.
However, if you would like a weekly collection for children’s disposable nappies, you can join our separate nappy collection service at no extra cost.
Contact us to join or fill in our online form. We will give you a separate bin for nappies only and will contact you each year to ask whether you require the service to continue. You must advise us once you no longer need the service and leave the bin out for us to collect.
Another option you may wish to consider is washable nappies, which can help the environment as well as saving you money. Now is a great time to try them out - we can even offer you a free Real Nappy trial pack.
Clinical waste
Clinical waste arising from medical treatment at home will be removed free of charge by our contractor.
A charge is made for collecting clinical waste from commercial premises.
