What is the Community Recycling Centre and how can I find it?
The Civic Amenity Site is located in Blenheim Road, Epsom KT19 9AP and is commonly known as "The Tip" or "The Dump" and it incorporates the Community Recycling Centre. It is run by Surrey Waste Management Ltd, on behalf of Surrey County Council, and can be telephoned on 01372 728722.
This site accepts general household waste, and also accepts (chargeable) trade waste. Hazardous wastes such as asbestos, paints, gas bottles, batteries etc. can be disposed of safely at this site (information about specific materials can be obtained if required from Surrey Waste Management Ltd staff).
Garden waste, electrical items, and some DIY waste can also be recycled here.
Recycling
Specialist recycling facilities can be found at this site, including materials too hazardous to recycle at general recycling centres around the Borough. Learn more about what can be recycled at the Civic Amenity Site.
Please note that the Civic Amenity Site now accepts plastic bottles for recycling.
If you are travelling to the "tip" to dispose of your waste, please take time to think about what could be recycled while you are there, rather than simply thrown away for landfill disposal.
