The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is a formal statement of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council’s approach to engage individuals and organisations in local planning matters; both in terms of shaping policy and participating in the process of determining planning applications. The preparation of documents in the Local Development Framework and consultation on planning applications will have to comply with the SCI once it has been adopted.
Submission of the Statement of Community Involvement
Following consideration of the 'Issues & Options' and the 'Preferred Options' consultation, a final draft of the SCI was submitted to the Government Office for the South East on 3 June 2005. This commenced a 6-week consultation period, which ended on 15 July 2005. A total of 20 representations were received. These representations were then considered by the Inspector who was appointed to carry out the Examination.
