The Council has a dedicated Leisure and Youth Development Officer who works in partnership with a number of local organisations and agencies to provide a wide range of activities for the young people of the Borough, as specified in the Borough Youth Plan. The Leisure and Youth Development Officer is a member of the Leisure Developments team who coordinate sport and leisure activities within the Borough.
Surrey County Council's Youth Development Service work throughout the county and have a dedicated team of youth workers, led by a Youth Development Officer, that cover the whole of the Borough. They primarily work with young people between the ages of 13-19 (up to 25 for those with special needs) through their youth work to address any identified needs. They also run and organise the youth centres and projects within the Borough.
