Without volunteers, most organisations would grind to a halt

There are many organisations who can support and place volunteers. With London 2012 just around the corner, now is a fantastic time to get involved in local community events to make a difference and help create the 2012 legacy!

Sport Makers

You can make sport happen locally. Sport Makers Logo

Sport Makers is an official London 2012 legacy programme that aims to encourage anyone over the age of 16 years old to organise and inspire more people to take part in sport or physical activity.

Whether that is getting a group of friends together to play badminton every Sunday for a few weeks or getting a group of your work colleagues to go for a run at lunchtime.

There will also be opportunities to volunteer at local sports clubs and events; what you choose to do as a Sport Maker is up to you.

Please visit the Sport Makers website for more information and to register now!

For more information please visit their website.

One-off Event Volunteers

Anyone is welcome to get involved, regardless of age, experience or formal qualifications.  All that is asked is that you are enthusiastic and passionate. Some volunteer roles may be subject to CRB checks.
