The P&G Surrey Youth Games, sponsored by Procter and Gamble, is the largest youth sports event in Surrey with around 3,500 young people from across the County taking part.

What are the P&G Surrey Youth Games?

The P&G Surrey Youth Games is a really exciting sporting event which allows young people of all ages to play a range of sports at a competitive level, against teams from the other 10 boroughs and districts of Surrey. It is a great opportunity to make some new friends and try your hand at some sports that you may not have played before.

Who are the P&G Surrey Youth Games for?

Children and young people who live or go to school in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell, and are between the age of 7 to 15 years old are eligible to represent the Borough at the Games. Last year over 500 children enjoyed the benefits of our free tasters, trials and coaching sessions, which were organised within the Borough and begin in March and April.

What sports are avaliable?

This year's Surrey Youth Games consist of 13 different sporting events including badminton, basketball, boccia (a game that is aimed at participants with disabilities, similar to bowls), boxing, cricket, football, hockey, judo, netball, tag rugby, squash, swimming and tennis.

Qualified coaches will run all sports, with the majority having direct links with local clubs with junior sections It is a perfect chance to meet a club and join in with them. The lucky ones who are chosen for the various sporting squads will be invited to some advanced training sessions leading up to the Games, to meet the rest of their team mates, learn more about the sport, as well as learn some special skills and tricks to help you do really well at the Games.

How do I get involved?

To be eligible to represent the Borough of Epsom & Ewell sponsored by GLL at the P&G Surrey Youth Games, you must either live in or go to school in the Borough and must be of sub-county level. If you are too old to compete in the Games, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities to get involved with which means you get great experience and can still support the Borough.

If you would like to volunteer and help with the P&G Surrey Youth Games please contact the Leisure Developments Team on the details below.
