The Community Sports Coach Scheme (CSCS) is a national initiative aimed at increasing the number and range of coaching opportunities available at a local level and to develop a career structure for coaching. The intended outcome is an increased number of qualified coaches employed at a local level delivering high quality coaching with a focus on young people.
The coach will also endeavour to retain young people in sport by providing guidance on progression opportunities to match their interests and abilities.
A Community Sports Coach is a qualified National Governing Body coach with the relevant experience for the coaching role.
