Chessington Road Recreation Ground (Bakers Field) is situated in the northern half of the Borough. The park can be entered from either Chessington Road or from Hyperion Place and is open all year round. There are no car parking facilities.

The park has a children's playground, a teenage play area and an area of mown grass which is suitable for informal ball games.

Chessington Road Recreation Ground was purchased on 16 October 1930 for £1,000. If you have a question relating to the history, please call Bourne Hall Museum on 020 8394 1734.

Volunteers and Community Groups

If you would like more information about the Friends of Epsom & Ewell Parks group, please contact the Ranger Service on 01372 732000.

There are many species of trees and plants which provide habitats for animals, birds and insects. We are compiling a species list for the park so if you spot an animal, bird or plant of special interest, please email us describing your find.
