Epsom and Ewell Borough Council has a Leisure Developments team which works in the areas of sport and recreation, physical activity and health and young people.

The main aim of Leisure Developments is to create sporting, leisure and physical activity opportunities that are safe, sustainable and accessible to all.  The team works in partnership with the local community to provide opportunities for those individuals living, employed or being educated in Epsom and Ewell to participate, enjoy and achieve their chosen level of sport, leisure or physical activity.

Leisure Developments delivers the Leisure Strategy, Borough Youth Plan 2007/08 and the Sport and Active Leisure Development Work Programme.

Leisure Developments also promotes good practice and child protection and runs an accreditation scheme called "Serious about Child Protection" for local leisure groups within the Borough.  Those groups that have successfully gained the accreditation are acknowledged as doing so on Leisure Listings.  To find out for about the accreditation scheme visit our "Serious about Child Protection" page.
