Further Information: Each year, Bourne Hall holds its popular Herald of Spring festival based on an historical theme. In 2010, we will be exploring the Middle Ages where there will be knights and squires, noble ladies, combat scenes, musicians, herbalists, a preaching friar, a fool or two, craftsmen and women and dancing. As the folk of medieval Epsom & Ewell get to together to celebrate St Ebba's Day beside their village cross and stocks, visitors will have the chance to go to Knight School, embark on a quest, try brass-rubbing, play war games, learn to dance and try their hand at activities such as spinning and weaving. Re-enactment group Paladins of Chivalry, well-known for their TV appearances, will make the medieval times come alive for everyone. 'Flower of Chivalry' opens on Saturday 6 March from 10am until 5pm and Sunday 7 March from 11am to 5pm with early access for disabled visitors from 10am. There will be craft stalls along with garden flowers and supplies. Park and ride is available from from North East Surrey College of Technology (Nescot), Reigate Road, Ewell, Surrey, KT17 3DS.
