The Environmental Health Service is pleased to be able to offer local food businesses the opportunity to attend a CIEH Level 2 Training in Food Safety. The training is being run in conjunction with Honour Safe Food and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. It will give food handlers the chance to obtain a recognised qualification in food hygiene and allow food business owners to meet requirements of food safety regulations.
Topics covered include:
- Basic bacteriology
- Food poisoning
- Personal hygiene
- Food contamination
- Food storage and temperature control
- Pest control
- Design of premises and equipment
- Law and management.
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health also provide a small range of exam papers in the candidates preferred language:
- Chinese - Simplified
- Chinese - Traditional
Requests for these exam papers must be made at time of booking.
The next level 2 course will be run on Thursday 21 November 2013 £84
The next level 2 refresher course will be run on Thursday 18 July 2013 (4 hours) £42
The entry requirements for the refresher course are the completion of the level 2 award within the last three years. Candidates are required to bring their certificate to the course.
The courses are usually held at the Town Hall, The Parade, Epsom, Surrey, KT18 5BY. Directions to the Town Hall.
Level 2 Award in Food Safety - £84.00 per delegate. The cost includes exam fees, training materials, lunch and refreshments.
How to pay
We will contact you to arrange payment. Alternatively you may pay in person at the cashier’s desk at the Town Hall between 10am - 2pm with your booking form. You can also pay by cheque (made available to Epsom & Ewell Borough Council), with payment code ehh01/zd141 clearly written on the back of the cheque. If you wish to pay by credit card a 1.5% charge will be incurred.
Cancellations and transfers
Please note that payment is non-refundable, you may however contact us to substitute another person or to transfer to a later course.
Please note: All our courses are delivered in English unless stated otherwise. All delegates must have a good understanding of written and spoken English to attend this course. Exam papers can be supplied in some other languages as shown in the Food Safety Training section above.
