Local Government Finance is a complex subject and financial statements have to comply with appropriate accounting codes of practice. The following documents provide a more user-friendly summary of Council finances:

• A leaflet called 'Your Council Tax Guide' (pdf - 879kb) is distributed each year with the Council Tax bills. The leaflet includes a summary of Council Tax charges
• Each autumn the Council publishes a summary of its financial performance in the Borough Insight magazine which is delivered to all homes in the Borough and can also be picked up from the Town Hall reception area. The Annual Report published in Borough Insight can also be found on this web site.

We would welcome feedback on improvements that we could make on both information in the Council Tax leaflet and on the presentation of the financial information in the Annual Report.
