The Wells Centre

The Wells Centre offers social, recreational and educational opportunities to people over 55. If you would like to make new friends, or spend time with old friends, this is the place for you.  You will be warmly welcomed by the members and our friendly staff and you can choose from a wide range of activities and classes to suit your need. 

Monday to Friday 9am till 4pm.

Coffee Shop and Bar

The Centre has a relaxing lounge with a coffee shop and licensed bar for members. This is the focal point of the Centre where members can relax and catch up with each other and find out about the latest news, forthcoming events and the Centres' many activities and classes.

The Centre has an attractive restaurant style dining room where you can enjoy a wide range of freshly prepared meals. Our own chefs prepare a choice of hot and cold dishes available at affordable prices. Lunches are served daily Monday to Friday at 12.30pm where you will be served by our friendly staff and volunteers.

Lunches must be booked by 11am either in person or by telephone. In addition we offer occasional themed days with live entertainment after lunch.

Activities

The club’s weekly activities cover Tai Chi, Short Mat Bowling, Beginners Bridge, Social Art Group, Line Dancing, Yoga, Kurling, Keep Fit to Music and Card Making and Craft. Some classes are free, and some incur a small charge.

Picture of Wells Centre Art GroupAs well as our classes and groups, we offer a varied entertainment programme with many different artists visiting the Centre throughout the year. We also provide escorted excursions to coastal resorts during the summer months; all at very reasonable prices.

Prospective members are always welcome to come and join us for a couple of days before deciding to join.

Internet & email

The Wells Centre provides access to the internet and other information technology for members of the Centre, to support educational, recreational and cultural needs. This is in response to advances in technology, and the changing needs of the local community and its members.

Picture of Childrens playgroundMany well known Groups and Organisations regularly use the Centre, and offer a wide range of exciting opportunities for all ages.

The Wells Centre is home to Wells Pre-school, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Scouts, Townswomen's Guild, Jive Club, NFSH Healing Centre, Elite Academy of Performing Arts (Adult and Junior),
University of the 3rd Age, NHS Retirement Club, Wine Tasting and our local church called Christ Church on the Wells.

Hiring of rooms


 

The Wells Centre has rooms that are available for Hire:-
The Main Hall – max 120 people
Half Main Hall – max 45 people
Spalding Hall – max 40 people
The Study – max 35 people
Lounge – max 50 people

The Wells Centre is located at the heart of the Wells Community, surrounded by Epsom Common and just a few minutes walk from the famous Epsom Well, home of the original Epsom Salts.
