The shopping service is operated from Monday to Friday in partnership with local supermarkets, and provides a home delivery service for your food shopping.
Who can use the service?
You must:
- be a resident of the Borough
- have difficulties in shopping for yourself.
How to join
You will need to be referred to us by your GP, Social Services or Health Visitor. Call us for further details on 01372 732000.
Details of the Service
The shopping is delivered on an agreed day on either a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on your requirements.
The day before the shopping is due, we will contact you by telephone between 9am and 10am to obtain your shopping list.
Your shopping is ordered at local supermarkets where their staff will do the actual shopping. We then deliver it to your door between 11.30am and 1.30pm.

When the groceries have been delivered, the shop receipt will be provided for you to check and then you will need to pay for the goods together with the delivery charge.
