The Meals on Wheels service delivers a choice of tasty and nutritious meals to vulnerable residents of the Borough who are unable to cater for themselves. This may be on a short or long term basis.
There is also a Sandwich service available for those who need an extra snack at tea time.
How do I qualify for Meals on Wheels?
The meal on wheels service is a reffered service, however If you are a family member and feel you would like to refer someone for the service, you will need to contact the Meals on Wheels Officer.
Criteria for referral, the client must be
- Living alone and unable to cook for self
- Housebound and unable to shop for a main meal
- At risk of malnutrition; not motivated to cook
- Unaware of time and/or need for regular meals, where there is clear evidence of confusion
- Living with an elderly carer who requires assistance

Traditional Meal and Pudding £3.20

Deliveries
Our friendly, helpful staff and volunteers can deliver a hot or frozen meal to your home between 11am and 2pm Mondays to Fridays.
Frozen meals can be provided for weekend consumption. |
