The success of the Borough's Community Strategy will depend on the commitment and involvement of a wide range of organisations and local people.
The Epsom & Ewell's Local Strategic Partnership is a non-statutory, non-executive organisation working within the boundaries of the Borough. Its aim is to allow people from different sectors and organisations to work together on strategic decisions affecting the Borough. The partners are drawn from the public, private, community and voluntary sectors and, although each will still have their own policies and priorities, they will also work together to ensure that their plans are coherent and consistent.
The LSP oversees work on a number of community projects that bring together the service providers and local community to help address some of the key issues. Areas for current action by the LSP are:
- Alcohol-related problems
- Epsom Town Centre
Priorities for the LSP, against which progress is regularly monitored, are:
- Quality of the Environment
- Transportation and Congestion
