Role of Epsom and Ewell Borough Council

Although Epsom and Ewell is a safe place to live and work, and major incidents are fortunately rare, we do have to be prepared for emergencies.

It is important that we know what we would do if an incident occurred.  Epsom and Ewell's emergency plans set out the responsibilities of our staff and how they relate to those of our professional partners in the emergency services, the County Council, the health service and other agencies.  It also recognises the important role to be played by voluntary organisations.  With joint training and exercises we can be sure that together we can react quickly to protect the residents, businesses and the environment of our Borough.
