Where to find information and advice on flooding

Surface water flooding, as well as flooding from the Hogsmill River and its tributaries, poses a significant threat to parts of the Borough. Detailed below are a number of measures that you can take to protect your home or business against flooding, as well as advice on what to do during and after flooding.

What to do now (when flooding is not imminent)

Find out if your property is at risk of river flooding and sign up to receive alerts by checking the Environment Agency Floodline Warnings Direct Service.

The links below provide information on how to make your property more 'flood resilient' - for example, reducing the risk of flood water entering or taking measures to enable your home to recover from flooding more quickly.

The National Flood Forum's 'Blue Pages' provide details of products and suppliers who can provide flood related equipment/services.
