Do I need a Licence?
If you run a business providing accommodation for other people's cats and dogs, you will need to apply for a licence, even if your business is operated from private dwellings.
Licences to board cats and dogs are issued under the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963 and are renewable annually.
All premises must satisfy basic standards for the health, welfare and safety of the animals boarded. We will arrange a veterinary inspection to ensure that the accommodation is suitable.
The licence will be issued subject to compliance with licence conditions and payment of the licence fee.
How do I apply?
You must complete the application form and send it to the Town Hall, The Parade, Epsom, KT18 5BY, together with the licence fee. Cheques should be made payable to Epsom & Ewell Borough Council. You will also be required to pay the costs incurred by the veterinary surgeon's inspection and will be invoiced for this separately.
